At 16, Agnes* was forced to drop out of school after becoming pregnant. “I thought my life was over,” she says. “I didn’t know how I would take care of my baby or finish my education.”
VOGAfrica’s program for teen mothers gave Agnes hope. She enrolled in a vocational training course and received childcare support, allowing her to focus on her studies. “I learned how to make soap and started selling it in my community,” Agnes says.
With the income from her business, Agnes was able to return to school. Today, she is completing her education and dreams of becoming a nurse. “I want to help other young mothers like me,” she says.
Agnes’s story is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to learn and grow. Through our programs, VOGAfrica is empowering teen mothers to build better futures for themselves and their children.
